It promises to be a great year in Thurman – lots to do, from musical events and fireworks, free interesting programs at town hall, free maple and farm tours, our annual townwide sale and activities specially planned for kids!
Free Concerts in the Park will be held every Monday in July and August, featuring such favorites as
Smokey Greene, Stony Creek Band, Lustre Kings and Johnny & the Thurmites.

All telephone numbers are 518 area code. Many events are hosted at Thurman Town Hall, or Veterans’ Memorial Field, located just behind the hall. To find us, from Northway exit 23 (Warrensburg), proceed north on Rt. 9, left on Rt. 418, over and along and back over the river for 3.5 miles to Athol Road on the right. Take Athol Road to Thurman Town Hall (311 Athol Road, Athol, NY) and Veterans’ Memorial Field. From The Glen, leave NYS Route 28 at The Glen Lodge & Market, following Glen-Athol Road about 6 miles to the second stop sign. Turn left (Athol Road) and find Town Hall and Veterans’ Memorial Field on your right in less than half a mile. |
