Thurman Connection Snowmobile Club, Thurman Not-for-profit # 2004
P.O. Box 135 Athol, NY 12810 Phone: 518-623-9948 View Website: www.thurmanconnection.snowclubs.com/ Email: thurmanconnection@snowclubs.com
Our club was founded in the summer of 1996. The first Friday of that September we held our first meeting. On September 4, 1996, we became incorporated with fifty members.
The founders realized that Thurman was the missing link between the Prospect Mountain trails and Speculator. They knew that there used to be trails on private, state and county lands. If they could find them--and get permisssion to use them--they might be able to connect and not have to trailer their sleds to ride.
What a beautiful place Thurman would be for a trail system. The mountain views, the abundance of wildlife, the beautiful blue skies, the fresh air.... We currently have five groomers operating on 118 miles of scenic Adirondack Mountain trail, covering the towns of Thurman, Stony Creek and Johnsburg. Check conditions via our snow phone, 518-623-2323.
We host a Trail Ride in early February, and the annual Blizzard Blast at 1000 Acres Ranch Resort in March. Watch local media for information or see the Town of Thurman Events List. Check our web site to find out how to join, how to receive regular updates about trail conditions and where to phone for snow messages.
