Sara Milonovich and Greg Anderson

An exciting duo that combines the talents of two of contemporary music's most gifted musicians.

Sara is an award-winning fiddler, singer, and tunesmith who has been performing various roots, bluegrass, Celtic, and Appalachian music since she was 4 years old. She spent the past few years touring and recording with The Cathie Ryan Band, and previously played with NY Irish-newgrass band The McKrells. She has recorded with numerous artists, and both her fiddle and voice can be heard on the forthcoming Richard Shindell CD, "South of Delia."

Greg is a multi-instrumentalist who co-founded the acclaimed Celtic-fusion group Whirligig. Currently the guitarist with The Eileen Ivers Band, he has also performed and recorded with many diverse international artists, including Susan McKeown, The Klezmatics, Cathie Ryan, and Doctor Nerve, among others.

Playing a vibrant mix of contemporary and traditional songs and tunes from across the musical spectrum, Sara and Greg's music incorporates eclectic flavors from other countries and planets, as well as soulful compositions of their own. They have earned accolades for their fresh interpretations of music from many different genres, and for crisscrossing stylistic boundaries - combining a firm grounding in a wide range of folk forms with a rich palette of modern and world music influences.

Since joining forces in 2004, they have toured throughout the US and Europe. Their debut CD, "Forward In All Directions!," made the Top Ten in the Village Voice 'Pazz & Jop' Critics Poll for 2004.

Neil Yetwin, guitar
Barry Weinstein, fiddle
Fred Woodward, acoustic and electric bass

The String Dusters draw inspiration from the deep well of American music -
the blues of Jimmie Rodgers, the bluegrass of Bill Monroe, the folk songs of the Carter family,
the hillbilly boogie of the Delmore Brothers, and the early honky-tonk sounds of Ernest Tubb and
Hank Williams. Add plenty of old-time fiddle tunes, a few cowboy songs, and some new original tunes
by band members and friends, and the result is a sound that is familiar, yet uniquely their own.
The String Dusters play timeless classics as well as little-known songs rescued from obscurity,
and their music is popular with all age groups from children to senior citizens.

                   A 12:00 noon - Don't Quit Your Day Job!

Steve Signell, mandolin, lead vocals
Daryl Smith, banjo
Mac Petriquin, resonator guitar (dobro), lead vocals
Mel Guarino, guitar, lead vocals
Larry Blackhurst, bass

The Don't Quit Your Day Job band started humbly the summer of 2006, jamming most Sunday afternoons at the North Creek Deli, aka *Grand Ole Deli* in North Creek, NY. As the casual group of bluegrass, old time country and gospel musicians jammed, it became obvious a band should form from requests to perform for various events. Steph Svrchek, from North Creek, for the past 30 years has been playing fiddle, singing lead vocals as well as calling square dances. Steve Signell deftly picks the madolin and also sings lead, having performed with various bands in Maine before settling in Long Lake. Daryl Smith now resides in Indian Lake and provides the driving banjo sound so appreciated by bluegrass fans. Mac Petriquin of Pilot Knob performs on the resonator guitar and sings lead too. Both Daryl and Mac performed with the Burnt Hills Bluegrass band for years. Mel Guarino, of Hartford plays guitar and sings lead. The sweet harmony sound Mel and Steph Svrchek create is a joy to hear. Playing bass as well as being the sound technician and bus driver for the band, Larry Blackhurst hails from North River. The “ Don’t Quit Your Day Job” band tries to keep the playing casual and lighthearted while adhering to the traditions of bluegrass that fans so appreciate. As a homegrown band, we hope you enjoy our sound as much as we enjoy playing for you.
