DAY ONE
"Kitchen Hop Friday" Sept. 9 [$6] Gate and food booth open at 6 p.m.
Dance under the Adirondack sky to round, square, and contra-dance tunes.
Don't know how? They'll show you! Or just sit and listen!
Food concession serves full menu, topped off by Irene's famous hot apple crisp, fresh from the oven.

                   A 7 pm -Adirondack Gold, $6. These local favorites will kick off the weekend in fine style.
                          Shake the travel dust out of your shoes and dance a square,
                          or just hunker down and enjoy listening.

                   A 8 p.m.-Quickstep, with John Kirk, Trish Miller and Ed Lowman.
                          What a versatile and talented group of performers,
                          each a star in his/her own right. JOHN KIRK, in addition to his work with Quickstep,
                          has performed with the Woodshed Allstars, the Vanaver Caravan and the Susquehanna
                          Stringband. He was part of the national touring band, Walt Michael & Co. in the 1980's.
                          John can be heard along with Jay Ungar & Molly Mason on the Ken Burns-PBS television series
                          called The West, and he appeared at Carnegie Hall in concert with the Catskill Conservatory
                          Chamber Players. He has many recordings of his own and has performed in others as well.
                          TRISH MILLER has been teaching and performing Appalachian clogging since 1981.
                          She calls square dances, plays old-time clawhammer banjo and guitar.
                          The groups she has danced with include, The Back Creek Cloggers from Richmond, VA.;
                          The Green Grass Cloggers, a professional touring troupe from Asheville, N.C.;
                          and occasional appearances with the Vanaver Caravan from New Paltz, NY.
                          ED LOWMAN has appeared with Don and Victoria Armstrong and he was part of the
                          St. Regis Stringband for over two decades.
                          He is known as one of those Will Dicker Boys and as the Schroon Lake dance coordinator.
                          Ed appears on several recordings and can play Cajun music in addition to early country and

DAY TWO
"Mountain Music Saturday", Sept. 10, runs for over twelve hours. Don't miss a minute of it!
                   A 8-10 a.m.- Come dig into an old-fashioned Fire Company Breakfast and jam session
                          (everyone likes jam for breakfast!) at Town Hall. Bring your appetite and instrument
                          and prepare to have a great time!

                   A 11:00 a.m. Show time at the pavilion, [$7] opening with Young Fiddlers' Showcase.
                          Enjoy the talent of blossoming fiddlers! You'll hear the Workshop Wonders,
                          The Nisky Fiddle Kids, Thurman Class Act and the Fiddle Faddle String Camp.


Nisky Fiddle Kids

                   A 12:30-The Cabin Fever Band has just been awarded by the Northeast Country Music Association
                          the 2005 "Sunrise Award", reserved for the individual or band showing the most improvement
                          over the last two years. Small wonder, with bluegrass musicians Mike Tirella strumming guitar
                          or picking the five-string banjo, Brian Jiguere tickling the mandolin, Bill Lewis slapping the bass,
                          and Harry Ralph bowing lightning licks on the fiddle. Ask about CDs. Learn more at

The Cabin Fever Band

                   A 1:30-Don Perkins and the Perkins Family Band. In 2002 the Perkins Family received the
                          North Country Heritage Award given by the Traditional Arts of Upstate New York (TAUNY).
                          Don Perkins, an Adirondack favorite for decades, was inducted into the North American Fiddlers'
                          Hall of Fame and Museum Institute in 2001. Don and his sister Phyllis Ezero (keyboard, vocals)
                          are accompanied by Phyllis' husband Joe and Pete Bolster on guitar, and are sometimes joined on
                          stage by Dan and Lesley, Joe and Phyllis' kids. Be sure to catch Don and ask about tapes!


Don Perkins

                   A 2:30-Tom Wilkinson and Ty Chanson. Tom's complete award list just won't fit here,
                          but this protégé of Ivan Hicks has some beauties: top ten, 2002 Canadian Open Old Time
                          Fiddle Championship; 2002 2nd place, Maritime Fiddle Championship; and 1997 Vermont State
                          Old-Time Fiddle Champion, to name a few. He's accompanied here by Ty Chanson,
                          with her wonderfully resonant 12-string guitar. See Tom about his CDs.

DAY THREE
"Gospel Music Sunday", September 11 [Donations]; Gate and food booth open at noon
                   A 1 p.m.-Gospel Variety Hour. Local youth and adults will impress you with
                          their talent and poise as they perform gospel favorites.

                   A 2 p.m.-Jim Davis and Friends. Jim will be there with well-worn banjo,
                          and, as always, he'll have an assortment of gifted local folks,
                          ready to share instrumental and vocal talent. Join the fun!

                   A 3:30p.m. -The Charlie Payne Family Band. Members of this talented family,
                          who have performed throughout the eastern United States, share faith through song.

                   A 4:30-Peter Whitebird, a native American Chippewa Indian from Topeka, Kansas,
                          in 1998 burst onto the national radio scene with a string of smash hit radio singles,
                          and quickly established himself as one of America's top Christian Country singer-songwriters.
                          He soon garnered many awards and nominations: Nominated for 2003 songwriter of the Year"
                          by the CCMA; Named the 2000 International Country Gospel Music Association
                          "Male Vocalist Of The Year"; Nominated four times in the top ten for CCMA "Male Vocalist
                          Of The Year", once in the top five; 13 TOP 10 singles, including 10 Number Ones on the national
                          Christian Country Charts. Welcome him on his first visit to our Jamboree stage,
