The
Northwoods![]() |
Built by German immigrants in the 1940s on the site of the old Jamon Baker farm, the Northwoods became a mecca for those who loved square dancing and good fun. Hear the stories of its beginnings and interim operations, and see what is happening there now!
| The
Meadowbrook Stock Farm |
Over the centuries, fire, wind and rain have wrought havoc at the Meadowbrook Stock Farm, once a thriving and productive operation. Hard work and determination are bringing this beauty back to life as a goat farm and an agritourism site. Join us on our first tour here.
The
Cy D. Pasco Schoolhouse![]() |
This will be our first time seeing the inside of the old Cy D. Pasco Schoolhouse, now a private vacation home (and it looks considerably better now than it did when this photo was taken).
| The
Guy Brooks Tavern Site/Orley Needham Farm |
This is the site of what is believed to be the earliest hotel in Thurman, and what was later to become a fine family farm, home to Orley and Susie Needham and their children. A gracious farmhouse and cluster of barns make an inviting scene. The authenticity of these structures has been painstakingly guarded since 1965.
